Candle Care Candle Suffer Candles Trimmer

Burning Tips

The first time you burn your candle, allow it to burn for at least two hours, until the whole top is liquid with wax. This will help your candle burn more evenly the next time. In order to get the most out of your candle, burn it until the entire surface of the candle melts. So make sure not to extinguish the candle until the whole surface has melted.
Trimming your candles optimises a clean burn, soot free and prevents mushrooming. When wick trimming, you should always extinguish the flame and let the candle come to room temperature. Do this if the flame ever becomes too large.

Lights Outs

Use a snuffer or a spoon to put out your candle. It's safer than blowing them out, which can send sparks and hot wax flying and the wick may continue to glow and emit smoke.

Double-check your candle is extinguished.

Never leave a lit candle unattended. This could be a fire risk. Always place your candle on a level, heat resistant, non-flammable surface away from fabric or curtains. Choose an area free from drafts to avoid uneven burning. Do not place your candle on a marble or glass surface. If the bottom of the hot candle glass comes in contact with a cold material, the delicate bone china may crack.
